Texas Tech Red Raiders Unveil State-of-the-Art, $5.7 Billion Renovation to Jones AT&T Stadium

In a monumental leap forward for college football, the Texas Tech Red Raiders have unveiled a transformative $5.7 billion renovation to Jones AT&T Stadium, setting a new standard for fan experience, athletic performance, and architectural innovation. This ambitious project redefines the stadium as a world-class venue, blending cutting-edge technology with luxury amenities and expanded seating to create an unparalleled atmosphere for both players and fans.

️ A Vision Realized: The South End Zone & Womble Football Center

At the heart of the renovation lies the newly constructed South End Zone Building, a four-story structure that seamlessly integrates with the existing stadium. Spanning over 300,000 square feet, this facility houses 17 new luxury suites, 500 club and loge box seats, and two expansive party decks, elevating the premium seating experience to unprecedented heights. The addition of a 12,000-square-foot Gary Petersen Field Club offers fans a unique entry point into the stadium, featuring exclusive amenities and direct access to the field.

Connected via a skybridge to the Womble Football Center, the South End Zone Building enhances the Red Raiders’ training capabilities. The Womble Football Center now boasts a state-of-the-art locker room designed to accommodate over 120 athletes, complete with fully ventilated lockers, USB charging ports, and DreamSeat technology, ensuring a modern and efficient environment for the team.

Cutting-Edge Technology & Fan Engagement

The renovation introduces a suite of technological advancements aimed at enhancing the fan experience. A new lighting system, utilizing Musco’s Total Light Control technology, allows for choreographed light shows synchronized with music during pregame, in-game, and postgame moments, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Additionally, the installation of a new playing surface by Hellas, incorporating technology used in NFL stadiums, ensures optimal performance and durability.

Fans can now enjoy a more streamlined game day experience with the introduction of a “tap and go” entry system, eliminating the need for screenshots and enabling quicker access to the stadium. The Texas Tech app further enhances convenience by allowing fans to order food directly to their seats and participate in the synchronized light shows.

A Legacy of Excellence

Jones AT&T Stadium, affectionately known as “The Jones,” has long been a cornerstone of Texas Tech University and a symbol of Red Raider pride. The recent renovations honor the stadium’s rich history while propelling it into the future, ensuring that it remains a premier destination for college football. With a seating capacity of 60,454 and state-of-the-art facilities, the renovated stadium stands as a testament to Texas Tech’s commitment to excellence in athletics and fan engagement.

The $5.7 billion renovation of Jones AT&T Stadium marks a new era for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, setting a benchmark in college football for innovation, luxury, and fan experience. As the team takes the field in this state-of-the-art facility, they do so with the support of a community that has invested in their success and a stadium that embodies the spirit of the Red Raiders.
