At the University of Cambridge, researchers developed bio-luminescent ink that forms “living pixels” on the skin. Tattoos can now function as tiny display screens, capable of showing moving text, symbols, or even short animations.
The tattoos are powered by skin temperature and bioelectricity, requiring no external battery. Early adopters in London already display scrolling quotes and reminders directly on their arms.
