The Musée du Tatouage reported record-breaking attendance as locals and tourists flocked to see historic tattoo machines, indigenous designs, and celebrity skin art replicas. Curators say tattoos are gaining the same respect as paintings and sculptures.
Visitor Marie Dupont said: “I never thought tattoos belonged in a museum, but here they feel like timeless art.”
