Australian chart-topping singer Dean Lewis, best known for his global hit “Be Alright”, has revealed a deeply personal tattoo that fans are calling his “most heartfelt tribute yet.”
During an intimate acoustic show in London, Lewis rolled up his sleeve to unveil a black-and-grey portrait tattoo of his late grandfather, framed with sheet music notes from “Be Alright.”
The tattoo, inked on his left forearm, was designed by renowned UK tattoo artist Grace Neutral, who specializes in hyper-realistic portraits. The piece took nearly 8 hours to complete.
Speaking to the audience, Dean explained the meaning:
“My grandfather was my biggest supporter before I even believed in myself. He told me to keep writing, even when no one was listening. Now his face is with me every time I play, and the song that changed my life surrounds him. It feels like he’s still watching over me.”
The crowd erupted with applause, with many fans sharing emotional posts online. Twitter quickly lit up with hashtags like #DeanLewisTattoo and #BeAlrightTribute, with fans praising the singer for his openness.
Industry critics note that the tattoo marks a shift in Dean’s artistic expression, as he increasingly weaves personal life into his music and public image.
