A growing number of West Coast studios are switching to eco-friendly vegan inks that are fully biodegradable, reducing environmental impact while remaining safe for skin.
The inks, derived from natural pigments such as algae, charcoal, and mineral blends, are gaining popularity among eco-conscious clients. “Tattoos are permanent art, so they should be planet-friendly too,” said tattoo artist Alina Park of Mission District.
Studios report a 40% rise in demand for vegan ink tattoos in the past year.
