All-American catcher Jasmyn Burns has committed to Texas Tech University, marking a significant addition to the Red Raiders’ softball program. Burns, who played her freshman season at Ohio State, is renowned for her offensive prowess and defensive reliability behind the plate.

In her standout 2025 season, Burns set both Ohio State and Big Ten single-season records with 25 home runs. She also posted a .455 batting average, a 1.546 OPS, and 72 RBIs, earning her a spot on the All-American First Team.
