The Auburn Tigers have intensified their recruiting efforts for the Class of 2026 by securing a commitment from elite offensive tackle John Turntine III, a standout from North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Standing 6-foot-3.5 and weighing 305 pounds, Turntine is currently ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Texas and the No. 3 offensive tackle nationally.

Turntine’s recruitment attracted significant attention from top programs, including LSU, Georgia, and Michigan. However, the Tigers emerged as the frontrunner, with Turntine expressing admiration for their football program and the opportunity to contribute to their offensive line.

Auburn’s commitment to building a strong offensive line is evident, as they have also secured commitments from four-star offensive tackle Tavaris Dice for the Class of 2025 and four-star interior offensive lineman DeAndre Carter for the Class of 2024. These additions bolster the Tigers’ recruiting class and demonstrate their focus on strengthening the offensive line for future success.([reddit.com][3])

With Turntine’s commitment, Auburn continues to build momentum in the 2026 recruiting cycle, positioning themselves as a formidable contender in the Southeastern Conference. His decision reflects the Tigers’ growing appeal among elite recruits and their commitment to developing top-tier talent for the future.
