In Sweden’s Lapland region, young Sami and Swedish artists are creating tattoos inspired by the northern lights, reindeer, and ice crystals. Many tattoos use glow-in-the-dark ink that mimics the shimmer of auroras.
Cultural leaders view this as a celebration of Arctic heritage, while tourism boards are promoting “Aurora Tattoo Tours” where visitors can experience the lights and get matching ink.
