South Korea: Seoul Schools Launch Tattoo Art as Elective Subject

For the first time, high schools in Seoul will allow students to take tattoo design as an official elective subject.
The course covers history, digital design, safety, and cultural perspectives, though students are not allowed to practice tattooing on skin until adulthood. Education officials say it acknowledges tattooing as a legitimate art form, not just a subculture.
