Japan: Yokohama Holds First “Traditional Irezumi Parade”

For the first time, Yokohama organized a public parade of traditional irezumi wearers, celebrating Japan’s tattoo artistry despite lingering stigma.
Participants proudly displayed full-body suits of dragons, koi, and mythological figures. The parade was hailed as a bold step toward normalizing tattoos in Japanese society.
