US Scientists Reveal “DNA-Encoded Tattoos” for Personal Ancestry

A research team at MIT has unveiled a breakthrough in personalized tattoos: DNA-encoded ink. By embedding microscopic DNA fragments within tattoo pigments, tattoos can now contain genetic identifiers that reveal family ancestry or medical predispositions.
The tattoos look completely normal but can be scanned in labs to unlock hidden information, offering a futuristic blend of body art and biotechnology. Privacy advocates, however, are debating whether such tattoos could lead to misuse.
