A new tattoo trend is lighting up the body art scene — literally. Glow-in-the-dark and UV tattoos are becoming increasingly popular among young people in Europe and the United States. Artists say the designs are nearly invisible in daylight but shine under ultraviolet light, making them perfect for club culture and festivals.
Health experts, however, warn that not all inks are safe and advise customers to only use certified studios. Despite the concerns, the trend shows no sign of slowing, as more people seek tattoos that are both artistic and futuristic.
