NASA Experiments With Space-Grade Tattoos for Astronauts

NASA has introduced radiation-monitoring tattoos for astronauts headed to Mars missions. The tattoos, made with smart nano-ink, change color when exposed to dangerous cosmic rays.

Dr. Karen Mitchell, NASA’s medical director, said: “We need compact, reliable health monitoring — tattoos are perfect for zero-gravity conditions.”
