European Union Drafts Law on Tattoo Ink Safety

The EU Parliament is drafting a law to regulate chemical safety in tattoo inks, following concerns about heavy metals and allergic reactions. The legislation would standardize ink quality across all member states.

EU Commissioner Helena Schmidt said: “Safety is paramount. Tattoos are lifelong — so must be the responsibility of ink producers.”
