Harvard Medical School Studies Tattoos as Potential Drug Delivery Systems

Harvard researchers revealed tattoos could become medical implants for drug delivery, embedding microcapsules of insulin or painkillers under the skin, released when triggered by light or heat.

Professor Alan Greene stated: “Tomorrow’s tattoos may be both artistic and lifesaving.”
