Augmented Reality Tattoos Go Viral in Paris

French studios are pioneering augmented reality (AR) tattoos that come to life through smartphone apps. When scanned, tattoos animate—dragons breathe fire, flowers bloom, and portraits wink.

Tattoo artist Camille Duval showcased a rose tattoo that, when viewed through AR, unfurled in full 3D animation. Social media influencers are adopting the trend to create shareable content.

“People don’t just wear tattoos anymore—they perform them,” said Duval.
