Smart Tattoos Emerge: Graphene Ink for Health Monitoring

A breakthrough in materials science has brought smart tattoos to reality. Researchers have developed reduced graphene oxide tattoos—ultra-thin designs that stick to the skin like traditional tattoos but double as health sensors.

These tattoos can monitor vital signs such as hydration, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels. Scientists predict future versions may even connect to smartphones, turning tattoos into wearable tech.

Dr. Amelia Shaw of University College London said: “This is where art meets science. People can express themselves visually while gaining real-time health insights.”
