Wolves Superfan Gets Diogo Jota Tattoo to Honour Former Star

August 27, 2025 – Wolverhampton, UK

In a bold and permanent tribute to one of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ most beloved former players, a die-hard Wolves fan has gone viral after unveiling a detailed tattoo of Diogo Jota inked on his leg.

The fan, 29-year-old Jake Turner from Tettenhall, says the artwork was inspired by Jota’s unforgettable performances during his time at Molineux from 2017 to 2020, when the Portuguese forward played a pivotal role in helping Wolves earn promotion to the Premier League and secure a strong top-flight presence.

“I wanted to do something that would show just how much Jota meant to this club and to me personally,” said Turner, who shared photos of the tattoo on social media. “He wasn’t just a great player — he was part of a new era for Wolves. This is my way of saying thank you.”

The tattoo, inked by a local artist, features a striking likeness of Jota in the iconic old gold kit, captured mid-celebration after scoring one of his signature goals. It’s positioned on Turner’s left calf and includes the phrase “Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf” underneath.

Fans across social media have praised the tribute, with some calling it “loyalty at its finest” and others jokingly asking if Turner would now be getting a matching tattoo of Pedro Neto or Matheus Cunha.

Though Jota moved to Liverpool in 2020 and has since gone on to achieve major honours, he remains a cult hero in Wolverhampton. When asked about the tattoo, Turner laughed, “I know he’s moved on, but in our hearts, he’ll always be a Wolf. I just hope he sees it!”

No word yet from Jota himself, but Wolves fans are already tagging him in hopes he’ll give the ultimate shoutout to his inked-up admirer.
