Emma Watson, renowned for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, has stepped up her environmental activism by launching a new global initiative aimed at reducing plastic waste in schools across the UK and beyond. The campaign, titled “Plastic Free Future,” will collaborate with educators and policymakers to implement sustainability curriculums and promote eco-friendly habits among students. Emma, who has long been a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and an advocate for sustainable fashion, expressed hope that this project will empower young people to become stewards of the planet.
In a recent interview, Emma said, “It’s vital that we start with education—if children learn to respect the environment early on, they carry those values through life.” The campaign also plans to organize community clean-up events and partner with environmental organizations to maximize impact.
