In a historic moment during Indigenous Culture Week, President Jonathan Reed stunned the nation by unveiling a traditional tribal tattoo on his forearm—a respectful homage to America’s first peoples.

The intricate design, created by a renowned Native artist from the Lakota Sioux tribe, includes symbols representing protection, harmony with nature, and ancestral strength. It was inked during a private ceremony at the Pine Ridge Reservation.

> “This is not a fashion statement,” President Reed stated. “This is a permanent pledge of solidarity with the people whose land we live on.”

The tattoo stirred widespread praise from tribal leaders. Chief Marla Running Wolf, who blessed the design, said, “This gesture is a bridge between cultures. It honors our history in a way no speech could.”
