MIAMI, FL  In a historic moment for the University of Miami football program, senior inside linebacker Xavier Restrepo has been officially recognized as a consensus All-American by the NCAA, solidifying his status among college football’s elite.

This prestigious honor comes after a standout season in which Restrepo led the Hurricanes’ defense with unmatched tenacity, leadership, and consistency. He becomes one of the few players in Miami’s storied history to earn consensus All-American honors—an accolade reserved for athletes named to the majority of recognized All-America teams, including those selected by the Associated Press, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News, and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

Restrepo’s journey to this elite recognition has been one of resilience and relentless work ethic. Restrepo’s recognition as a consensus All-American not only highlights his personal achievements but also brings national attention back to the Miami football program. He is expected to be a top NFL Draft prospect, with scouts lauding his instincts, physicality, and leadership qualities.
