Four-star wide receiver Brock Boyd has flipped his commitment from TCU to Ohio State, joining the Buckeyes’ 2026 recruiting class as the third wideout. Boyd, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound standout from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, had been committed to TCU since July 2024. However, after a spring visit to Columbus, Boyd and his family reevaluated their decision. Boyd was impressed by the intensity and detail-oriented approach of Ohio State’s program, which he felt mirrored the environment at Southlake Carroll.

Boyd’s decision was also influenced by the opportunity to develop under Ohio State’s offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, Brian Hartline. Hartline’s track record of producing NFL-caliber receivers was a significant factor in Boyd’s choice .

During his junior season, Boyd recorded 111 receptions for 1,868 yards and 19 touchdowns, leading Southlake Carroll to a state championship game appearance. His performance earned him recognition as the No. 58 wide receiver and No. 372 overall prospect in the 2026 class.

With Boyd’s commitment, Ohio State’s 2026 class now includes three wide receivers: Boyd, five-star Chris Henry Jr., and four-star Jaeden Ricketts. The Buckeyes are also targeting four-star Kayden Dixon-Wyatt to complete their wide receiver group for the class .
